Creative Thinkers: Literacy, Storytelling and Empowerment Through the Arts.
By opening ourselves up to investigate our surroundings, we activate our senses, explore the city, and create stories through a variety of artistic expressions. Youth between the ages of 14 and 19 who have migratory experience in their families are invited to build stories collectively over the course of 8-10 workshops led by a diverse roster of artists, facilitators, and speakers. Together, we generate dialogue on the subject of social justice, equity and equality, leadership, and individual and collective mental health.
At the end of the process, everyone’s artistic work will be installed and/or exhibited at MUSE Arts’ studio space at Earlscourt Park in Toronto.
