This project sees the creation of virtual and in-person spaces where creative conversations are held and over 100 participants of all ages are invited to identify correlations between their idea of home and that of location, land, and physical structures. These conversations are centred on the participants’ own sense of belonging and experiences of community here in Toronto. 

Giving their imagination free rein, each participant is invited to create a vision of home using mixed media, experimenting with paper and collage techniques, and giving upcycled cardboard boxes a second purpose by turning them into beautiful homes. 

Throughout the course of this project with Artists in the Making participants, we created 100+ homes which will be part of an installation at Cloverdale Mall in Toronto during the summer of 2022.
